The benefits of ReLive on menstrual cycle disorders

Quick reminder: What is menstrual discomfort? ← Click here to find out

Menstrual discomfort refers to all the symptoms and inconveniences caused by hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle. These symptoms may include:

  • Pain in the lower abdominal area
  • Digestive difficulties and intestinal pain (cramps)
  • Bloating and nausea
  • Cyclical acne
  • Increased fatigue and sleep disturbances
  • Headaches, breast swelling and pain, abdominal bloating, swelling of the extremities, irritability (this is premenstrual syndrome)
Based on 15 scientific studies published between 2002 and 2011, the prevalence rates of menstrual pain among the women surveyed vary from 16% to 91% depending on age groups, origins and scales.

ReLive is a nutraceutical food supplement presented in capsule form that helps the body combat a range of symptoms related to the menstrual cycle . These symptoms, which are grouped under the terms " painful periods " and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) , vary depending on the woman and underlying conditions, but can include lower abdominal pain, cramps, nausea, headaches, or intestinal problems.

The presence of natural active molecules in ReLive such as 🟠 turmeric , or 🍍 bromelain, helps to significantly reduce pain felt in the lower abdomen and intestines.

ReLive is not only intended for women and problems related to the menstrual cycle, it is also indicated for intestinal pain and nausea thanks to the various properties of its active ingredients.

What makes ReLive a unique dietary supplement?

The combination of natural ingredients in ReLive was initially developed by Dr. Thérèse Greck-Chassain, a gynecologist in Montpellier, and Dr. Chantal Marion, a lecturer in Phytotherapy and Aromatherapy at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier.

This combination of plant extracts was perfected over many months before being marketed to ensure its effectiveness against disorders related to the menstrual cycle: painful periods and premenstrual syndrome.

After several development phases, we decided to add 2 fundamental elements to the formula in addition to the plants: reduced glutathione , a powerful antioxidant that helps protect against cell damage that can occur in some cases of endometriosis; but also a DR-Caps: a high-tech delayed-release vegetable capsule that protects the active ingredients during digestion so that they are released perfectly protected in the intestines.

The numerous and encouraging testimonials from satisfied customers prompted us to conduct a consumer study with a panel of women. The majority of patients who used ReLive reported a 75% to 80% reduction in menstrual pain .

Below is an infographic summarizing the feedback from a panel of 37 users suffering from severe pelvic pain and cramps related to the menstrual cycle.

In conclusion, the entire panel noted a reduction of more than 50% in pain on a scale of 0 to 10 after 1 month, and more than 75% reduction in pain after 3 months, proving the short-term and long-term effect of ReLive on the relief of pain related to the menstrual cycle.

Ingredients

What are the ingredients of ReLive?

ReLive is a dietary supplement specifically formulated for painful periods and PMS. ReLive combines 5 naturally derived ingredients and a delayed-release capsule:

Ginger ( Zingiber officinale roscoe)

An essential for menstrual comfort as it helps relieve pain and prevent some nausea.

Turmeric ( Curcuma Longa )

Turmeric has several benefits: it fights inflammation, is an antioxidant, and soothes spasms. High-quality turmeric can therefore provide real relief from painful periods. At Phytocea, in accordance with our ethical principles, we have chosen a high-quality turmeric standardized for curcumin and without the addition of piperine or saponins (even those of plant origin).

The Cat's Claw ( Uncaria Tomentosa )

This is an Amazonian vine that we import from French Guiana; it is traditionally used by doctors in that region, particularly for managing pain and inflammation. We use the bark, which is the part most concentrated in active ingredients that help directly reduce pain.

Bromelain from the stem of pineapple ( Ananas Comosus )

Bromelain is one of the main active ingredients in pineapple. We collect pineapple stems from the canned pineapple industry to repurpose them and extract the bromelain they contain in high concentrations. Bromelain is an active ingredient with multiple benefits: it helps calm inflammation, reduce edema, and has a relaxing effect on the cervix.

Reduced glutathione from bacterial fermentation

Often called the 'king of antioxidants', reduced glutathione is produced by the human body from birth and helps the body combat damage caused by oxidative stress. Some current studies (e.g., [reference] ) link the expression of endometriosis symptoms to oxidative stress levels, which would make glutathione and antioxidants long-term allies in combating the discomforts associated with endometriosis.

Traceability and transparency:

In our search for the best possible ingredient, we source our active ingredients ourselves: we take direct responsibility for finding producers to find active ingredients that meet our performance and quality requirements.

One example: because we do not add piperine (which alters intestinal permeability) our turmeric is concentrated at over 95% curcumin for optimal effectiveness, which is not an industry standard, so we found an exceptional local producer directly in India.

"Re.Live" is manufactured according to our guidelines by our long-standing partner PhytoCosma in Gers, a renowned specialist in plants and in the dry form of food supplements.

How do I use it?

Dosage and instructions for taking

Depending on the severity of the pain, we recommend 2 to 4 capsules per day during the period of pain, divided between the morning on an empty stomach and the evening before going to bed for an effectiveness felt throughout the day and night.

Taking ReLive on an empty stomach helps prevent the deterioration of active ingredients due to the digestion of other foods by gastric juices.

Contraindications, precautions for use and side effects

Do not use if you have a known intolerance or allergy to any of the ingredients.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Dietary supplements should be used as part of a healthy lifestyle and a varied and balanced diet.

Keep out of reach of children.

The European Medicines Agency advises against the use of turmeric in people under 18 years of age, except for food use.

Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are using or are present with:

  • anticoagulants
  • chemotherapy treatments
  • of gastric ulcer
  • obstruction of the biliary tract
  • antibiotic treatment
  • immunosuppressive treatment

Precautions and potential side effects specific to the different ingredients:

Turmeric ← Click to see contraindications

Contraindications are mainly related to taking medication; therefore, it is advisable to consult your doctor before taking Re.Live to check for any interactions with current treatments, in particular:

Turmeric can interact with blood-thinning medications and plants with anticoagulant properties (garlic, ginger, ginkgo, ginseng, eleutherococcus, kava, tonka bean, etc.). Therefore, it should not be combined with anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents.

  • Avoid consumption if taking immunosuppressants and NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).
  • An overdose may cause nausea and vomiting
  • Turmeric is an inhibitor of the antitumor action of certain chemotherapies.
  • interacts with cytochrome P450 substrates
  • interacts with P-glycoprotein (UGT-GST) substrates
Ginger:
  • Not recommended in case of bile duct obstruction.
  • Ginger may interact with blood-thinning medications, as well as with herbs that have anticoagulant properties.
Cat's claw:
  • Contraindicated in cases of autoimmune disease (multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc.)
  • An interaction is possible with treatments for high blood pressure and immunosuppressants.
  • Excessive consumption may cause mild intestinal upset.
Bromelain (pineapple stem):
  • An interaction is possible with anticoagulant medications and certain antibiotics; in these cases, Re.Live should not be consumed.
  • Taking bromelain can in some people cause transient digestive problems and an increase in menstrual flow.
